maths!! Hi, welcome to my maths page, this is where all of my maths work is. A couple of days ago in education week we were displayed with the question of, How tall are we? Our task was to answer that question in any way we wanted as a class, as long as we some how got it displayed around the school by education week. What we did was measrure ourself and put it in a table in order from tallest to shortest or shortest to tallest. We made a pie chart with percentages of the different hight groups we made. Then we found out the mode, the average, and the median. I found this got our whole class to work together, I found this a really fun unit in maths for education week.
Now it is Term three and we are working on Multiplication and divison in the area of fact families. An example is:
9 x 6 = 54 6 x 9 = 54 54 divided by 6 = 9 54 divided by 9 = 6 So basically once you've got one it 3 for free. Try saying 3 for free really fast many times. IT'S HARD ISN'T IT!!!!! That's bound to make you laugh!
